Fashion brands sign new deal on Bangladesh garment workers’ safety

With the original Accord having been due to expire at the end of August, campaigners were relieved a new deal was signed just a handful of days ahead of that deadline. The new agreement will last until October 2023 and this time includes the commitment to expand to making the same commitments to workers in at least one more country. Read

Farfetch launches pre-order service in an effort to minimise fashion waste

In a new bid to tackle overproduction, Farfetch is starting a pre-order initiative to encourage minimisation of waste by only making what is required. The first round of pre-order items have all already been created but the initiative will test out whether it can move towards a direct supplying to demand model. Read
