Our researcher Heather Lafferty presents a roundup of the week’s fashion and politics news headlines—including the news that almost three-quarters of demand for personal protective equipment (PPE) is to be met by UK manufacturers according to a new government strategy on PPE. Before the Covid-19 outbreak, only 1 per cent of PPE was produced in the UK.
