A new report investigates fast fashion’s relationship with fossil fuels. It assessed 12 brands sustainability claims and found 59% of the claims did not stand up to CMA standards. It also argues that brands lack the commitment to shift away from synthetic fibres like polyester and nylon, which depend on fossil fuel production and shed microplastic fibres into the environment.
