An overview of Fashion Roundtable's The Power of Influence event at The AllBright Mayfair
From celebrity endorsements to brand campaigns, we are living in an era where influence is considered one of the most powerful assets. With this in mind, influence was the key theme for Fashion Roundtable’s recent ‘The Power of Influence’ event that brought together leading change-makers to share both their personal and professional insights.
At times, it’s difficult to comprehend some of the issues our world is currently facing— from global conversations on sustainability and diversity to the more recent Australia bushfire crisis. However, it was impossible not to feel the wave of optimism that filled the room as a group of inspirational women spoke of ways in which we can all be using our own influence for positive change, the challenges they had faced throughout the course of their careers and the collective hope they shared for the future.
Whilst influence was the core theme of this event, another one emerged… Collaboration. Bringing together leaders and experts in the fields of fashion and politics was a prime example of just that. Whether the discussion fell on topics such as Anne-Marie Curtis’s September 2018 Issue of ELLE UK dedicated to sustainability or Fashion Roundtable’s political expert Navjyot Lehl breaking down how people power really can change the world, collaboration appeared to be another pioneering factor of our influence.
